Having failed to get a star trails image at the West Kennet Long Barrow at my first attempt, thanks to the bright rising Moon, I returned on a darker night. This time I was far more successful, gathering about two hours worth of exposures to create this image. I used my head torch to illuminate the stones a little, where's the Moon when you need it?!!? The bright light dome to the left of the image is from Salisbury Plain. I could hear a military exercise in full force, thudding, popping, banging and great flashes of light, but I hadn't really expected it to show up quite this much in the final image.
