Inspired by a talk at the Wiltshire Astronomical Society by Mary McIntyre, I set about taking a star trails image in my back garden. I have thought that the cover photo of 'In The Marlborough Night Garden - Volume 2' could be a star trails image with the RPO (River Park Observatory) in the foreground. I tried my 16mm non fisheye lens for this one and while it doesn't get as much in the field of view, I very much like what does fit in and the distortion at the edges is significantly reduced.
