This shot was taken with an 80% Moon, so the crater Copernicus was quite near the terminator, consequently plenty of shadow detail is showing here. Copernicus is about 93km across. Other main features in the image are the crater Eratosthenes in the upper right portion of the image, with Montes Apenninus stretching away into the upper right corner. The mountain range above and to the left of Copernicus is Montes Carpatus.
