It was a gloriously sunny February day and I excitedly set up the solar gear. I was slightly disappointed when I started to view the Sun's disk on the computer as I could immediately tell that the seeing was very unstable. That would make for poorer quality captures. I wasn't deterred though and managed to grab three images. This is the first, of the Sun's full disk in white light. It shows the active region, AR2699, very clearly. It's good to see some new activity on the surface and I look forward to following its progress.
